P8_P1_Wallace_window - a photo on Flickriver

            My intention with this image was to use the light coming in from the window to create an engaging portrait. The subject's arm goes over their eyes to protect it from the light, but hopefully also to create a shadow area that separates it from the rest of the face. I converted this image to black and white so that the focus was on the design created by light; color was unnecessary. Other edits include curve adjustments for brighter shadow areas and black and white mixing.
