Spanish skirts and golden cottonwoods

            Some "Spanish skirts" formations surrounded by cottonwoods in fall color. We  had exceptional fall color at Palo Duro Canyon this past autumn, as the weather had stayed quite mild into mid-November, allowing the trees to fully turn rather than having the leaves killed off by early extreme cold.  I shot this in fairly low light just after sunset while also observing (and shooting) the rise of an almost-full moon.
