The End or New Beginnings? - a photo on Flickriver

            Depending on how you look at it, CP 8078 & 9364 lead the last Canadian Pacific 132 or the first Canadian Pacific Kansas City 132, past the rumored to be torn down North Baltimore, OH depot.

While I do not work for Canadian Pacific this is one of our regular trains out of North Baltimore, OH. It is CP 132 from Schiller Park, IL to Montreal, QC, and for the first 550 miles it is considered a haulage train. A haulage train is a train, that between two points is moved by railroad A with railroad A's crews, but is actually railroad B's train.

To start to answer the question of is this the last CP 132 or the first CPKC 132 we look at the following, knowing that the end of CP and the beginning of CPKC was at 00:00 4-14-2023 

#1 While the new HQ of CPKC is in Kansas City in the central time zone, the HQ of CP is in Calgary, AB, CA. We were called at  00:15 EST, 23:15 CST and 22:15 MT.

#2 The date of the train was the 14th.

#3 We did not actually depart Schiller Park, IL until around 04:00 EST, 03:00 CST, 02:00 MT

So while the trees are showing the first true signs of spring with new leaves, in there own new beginnings, with the merger of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern, is this the end of the CP 132 or the beginnings of CPKC 132....What say ye?
