            This festa is Birkirkara a town in the centre of Malta.
There festa is on the same week than Sliema a coast town a few kilometres away. From a good spot you can enjoy and shoot both fireworks at the same time.
Fireworks session start with a Maltese speciality some loud bangs.
If I understood correctly this is to scared the devil and have a quiet festa.
Malta is famous around the worls for the sound of it's fireworks and for sure no one on the island can not known of some going on.

Each village celebrate his saint with a local festa.
Each festa (lasting one week) is the opportunity for Maltese to show there local fireworks skills. Everything is manufacture localy.

I shoot that night from my prefered spot from which I can see almost all the island.
