1950 Ford - a photo on Flickriver

1950 Ford

            The 1949, 50, 51, and 52s looked nearly identical.  Notice the split windshield.  Some cars years ago had windshields that you could push out at the bottom to get air into the auto.  Most cars up north did not have air conditioning until around 1970.  I can remember going on long road trips with my parents and grand parents in the summer.  All you could do was roll the windows all the way down and put a damp cloth or towel on your head or around your neck.  Ah, the good old days.

This photo was taken at the parking lot at the National Center for Nature Photography which is at Secor Metropark which is in Raab's Corners, just outside of Berkey, Ohio and Holland, Ohio.  Also, it is in Richfield Township.  I have had two solo shows at the Center and have had over 100 photos on display there from time to time over the years.
