            Ah yes. The Power Rangers Lightning Collection, pretty much doomed from the start as it focused too much on MMPR. 

While I've avoided... well pretty much everything from the line, I did notice the solicitation for Rita Repulsa. Now, let me make it clearly - the overall construction of this figure is terrible, and it's always been terrible, but the faces didn't look too bad, and neither did the costume.

Everything that you can see is actually not too bad TBH. As mentioned the faces are pretty good and accurate as is the costume. The paint work on the hair, collar, and staff are actually quite nice, probably some of the nicest I've seen on a Hasbro figure.

The actual body, however, has those annoying flimsy elbows and knees the line is known for, as well as generally bad QC when it comes to tolerances. It would have been fun if they at least gave her Black Widow style hips but despite having pulldown hips the very much limited to 90 degrees, so you really can't make use of that back arch a whole lot. The underlying body being fully Black is disappointing, but not surprising. Elbows and wrists aren't great either She likely has the butterfly shoulders of the other figures, but the Bra of Evil gets in the way of movement, and of course, there is no neck articulation.

While I'm on poor materials, the Staff and Energy Effect are made of that soft, rubbery plastic I hate. The actual tolerances on parts finishes and fit are actually not terrible, though the wrist pegs tend to be a bit tight. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well the face plates fit.
