Hydes Garage - Texaco - Salt Lake City, Utah (gone as of 8/16/08)

            This old Texaco building is probably about as close as you can get to seeing it's last days. The building is completely surrounded with new, modern buildings and the day I took these pictures (March 1st, 2008) a realty for sale sign had been put up.  I suspect this is one of many older buildings that the cost of the taxes just out-weigh the buildings worth.  What a shame, it's a neat old garage. It will be a sad day when it's gone.  Amazing the 7up kick plate has lasted on the door all this time.  

For those in the Salt Lake area, this is located right front of the South Town Center on State Street (highway 89 - 91) right next to Johanna's Kitchen.  Go grab yourself some pics of the place before it's gone.
