"Miss Katie P. Miller, Tiskilwa, Ill"

            Cabinet card by B. A. (or H. A. ?) Kemp, Tiskilwas, Illinois. Circa 1890. Her name is written on the back, along with the word "Mama".   This is a rather common name, so it is difficult to know for sure whether she was the same Katie Miller who is listed in the 1880 census in Manlius, Illinois (in Bureau County, as is Tiskilwa). She was then 11 years old and listed in the household of her parents, Matt and Lizzie Miller, both born in Prussia. Since the 1890 census no longer exists, and she had probably married before the 1900 census, there is not much to go on.

Photographer B. A. (or H. A. ?) Kemp is also a mystery. There are also cabinet cards by Kemp with a Wyanet address (7 miles from Tiskilwa), but there is no information on him.
