Evolution of a sock. - a photo on Flickriver

            I loved the Turkish socks from "Knitting Traditions" magazine. So I grabbed some of my own leftover sockyarns and with some adaptations to size and gauge I set out to make my own.

I found after completing the first sock that I didn't like the fit of the traditional heel, however. So, sock #2 got a short-row heel with a similar pointyness. Halfway up the cuff, I decided this wasn't what I wanted either. So I frogged it to just before the heel and now I'm just making a short-row heel with the classic western shaping. Let's see if I'll be happy with that!
