Beautiful Moth Taken in House - Cairns, Australia - "Amerila alberti" Species

            I wish to present a beautiful moth.  Firstly I apologise for not commenting on my contacts photos.  We went out to 2 waterfalls yesterday because I just needed go go out for sanity of mind.  Then my nephew came for a visit last night which is good, and today Optus in Queensland crashed taking out phones and Internet to north Queensland.

This moth flew out of a pot plant in my back yard and went to rest on a leaf of a tree next door.  I jumped from my block retaining wall onto the flimsy roof of the garden shed and broke off the leaf and brought it inside and fortunately the moth remained.  Once in the house it flew around and settled on a florescent tube in the kitchen; then on a flyscreen in the bathroom; then on a kitchen cupboard.  I took photos from various locations but this one is the best of those locations - on the cupboard.

The only alteration here is a rotation to make it horizontal, and a crop to show better details.  I did not realise how pretty it is until the supermacro revealed it.  Taken 2 or 3 days ago.
