1964 Ford Country Squire - a photo on Flickriver

1964 Ford Country Squire

            Before minivans, before SUVS, kids whined "are we there yet?" from the back of these glorious, fake wood-paneled station wagons. Available in 2 or 3 seats, with fold down tailgates with a rear window that rolled down into the gate, these have it all over today's boiled-sweet-potato shaped transportation modules.

If being a father meant being able to drive one of these, I just might opt in. I did say MIGHT.
