This strange photo was purchased at a flea market in Essex Junction, Vermont.  It was printed on postcard stock with the phrase, "Accept at face value" written on the back.  Any one of these guys could be cast as a gangster from the old Untouchables television series.  So what are these tough guys toting?  Baseball bats? Violin cases?  Nope, a fruit basket!  Go figure.  It inspired this caption when it was displayed in my cubicle at work:
"To complete our community service obligations, we run the Welcome Wagon for the lower east side.  Please accept dis here basket o' froots as our way of saying yer on our turf!
Eddie, Knuckles, rub 'im out."
