Channeling Tatyana [Get Pushed - Round 30 and TOTW]

For Round 30 of Get Pushed, I was paired with the prolific and very talented Rich, aka coollessons2004. Do check out his stream!

His challenge to me:
"Take a portrait in the style of Tatyana Alex. I've seen that you've done B&W portraits before, but Tatyana has a particularly soft style. I've also noticed that you've done still lifes in this softly beautiful style before (I faved one on your stream), but not portraits."

Well this was a hoot, and I learned a lot!! Do take a moment to look through Tatyana's wonderful photostream -- it's very impressive. Her lighting is always lovely, and her poses are fantastic. You'll see that I have managed a tribute, but not a particularly good emulation. I have at least 50 pounds on her, for one thing. LOL!!! I was trying to get into the same pose she did here, and well, you simply can't do that if you're not elegantly whispy!

I did have a ton of fun trying to emulate her style though, and I'd like to try more of these. I'm using this image for Theme of the Week as well. This week's theme is Ghetto Lighting, and with the help of only two table lamps, this image definitely qualifies.
