Roman Fortaleza in Calzada de Bejar - a photo on Flickriver

            On the hill overlooking Calzada de Bejar stands this ruin of a Roman fort.  The old Roman road, the Via de la Plata, passes through Calzada de Bejar and this small fort would have housed a small garrison involved in providing security along this stretch.
