Calm before the storm. - a photo on Flickriver

            This is the sunset scene taken along the prawn trawler wharves on Cabbage Tree Creek, Shorncliffe in Brisbane as the Anticrepuscular Rays in the previous shot were occurring looking in the opposite direction from the other side of the suburb. This is an iphone photo, typically I had left the Nikons at home not thinking our dinner would have been over before the sun disappeared. I was never a Boy Scout obviously! 

Coming up from the left or south west was a rather widespread (and predicted) storm that covered much of South East Queensland and which must have recorded high levels of lightning activity. It went north of us and we missed the lot. Apparently after another hot day, we are expecting temps to drop at last but storms and rain in the forecast.
