Knobbishness! - a photo on Flickriver

Knobbishness!

            The Macro Mondays theme for the day (refer other shot) was Knob and for once I entered it (not this photo though)! But during our walk in Kalinga Park, Brisbane the other day. much of our attention was drawn to trees. Many of those in this big park are natives of Australia and I couldn't pass without taking a couple of shots of some different and very distinctive types of bark of varying colours and patterns. 

It was hard to ignore them because the park suffered with the downing of some beautiful examples of trees during the recent Cyclone Alfred and many were still in the process of being cut up for removal. But of course, this one wasn't and displayed a very distinctive knob which has either sprung forth from below the bark or formed where a branch has broken off. It was larger than a human head! Definitely not macro!!!
