Off to Straddie

Bit of a maritime theme today. This shot shows the Sealink Car Ferry departing from the Cleveland terminal south of Brisbane (City of Redlands) heading across Moreton Bay to North Stradbroke Island.

An island off great beauty, with Pacific Ocean surf beaches on the eastern side and three small towns, freshwater lakes and a local bus service. Annoyingly close but still needing a barge trip or water taxi to access unless you have your own boat of course.
