Alingsås City Hall II - a photo on Flickriver

            (Swedish: Rådhuset) Built 1769 by Patrik Alströmer, son of Jonas Alströmer (Swedish consul in London, industrialist who lived 1685-1761 and started different factories in Alingsås). One of the oldest buildings in Sweden with wood panel. In 1831 Alingsås City bought the house and used it as a city hall and housing for the mayor. The flag on the roof has the Alingsås Coat of Arms.
 
A listed historic building (Swedish: Byggnadsminne) that is protected by the Heritage Conservation Act (Swedish: Kulturminneslagen). 

The Alingsås city centre is one of Sweden's approximately 1,700 National heritage areas for protection of the historic environment (Swedish: Riksintresse för kulturminnesvården). Sweden's Environmental Code (Swedish: Miljöbalken) protects the natural and historic environment.
