Vällingby Centre Extension - a photo on Flickriver

The building to the left belongs to the part of Vällingby Centre that was inaugurated 1954 (architects: Backström & Reinius Arkitekter). The building to the right is called K:fem and is a department store for fashion built in 2008 (selected as best building for shopping at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona 2008, architect: Gert Wingårdh).

The development and extension of the centre was awarded the Planning Prize 2006 by The Swedish Association of Architects (responsible for the planning: Stockholms stadsbyggnadskontor and White arkitekter).
