Macaw & textile bowl, Museum of Northern Arizona

            Gorgeous painting & design. Sadly, I forgot to snap the caption! I think it's either Hopi or Zuni & near-contemporary. I'm guessing Zuni from context. No artist identified, so early 20th century? The textile is an Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi) design, likely copied from a photo in a book. Macaws were a big deal in the Casas Grandes and Chaco cultures -- imported from southern Mexico and/or bred locally from imported  stock.
