We are in 1981 and it is Porsche 917, but attention, "K" no  means Kurtz but Kremer, the manufacturer of this brand new car. The regulation allows a type of car, albeit changed, he had banned in 1971. 
The car was built with plans for the 917, but with many changes: The magnificent tubular chassis has been strengthened, some tubes have changed in diameter. Even if the silhouette is generally remained the same, we see many differences on the body by examining more closely. Some are written on the photo, most visibly with the rear wing cross which no models on 1970 1971. 
The hopes for winning big driver Wollek Bob were quickly disappointed, the performance of the car is well below what the team expected Kremer.

Nous sommes bien en 1981 et il s'agit bien d'une Porsche 917, mais attention, le "K" ne signifie plus Kurtz mais signifie Kremer, le constructeur de cette voiture entièrement neuve. Le règlement autorise donc un type de voiture, certes modifié, qu'il avait banni en 1971.
La voiture a été construite avec les plans de la 917, mais avec beaucoup de modifications : Le magnifique chassis tubulaire a été renforcé,quelques tubes ont changé de diamètre. Même si la silhouette générale est restée identique, on voit de nombreuses différences sur la carrosserie en l'examinant de plus près. Quelques unes sont notées sur la photo, la plus visible concerne l'aileron transversal arrière qui n'existait pas sur les modèles 1970 1971.
Les espoirs de victoire du grand pilote Bob Wollek furent vite déçus, les performances de la voiture étant nettement inférieures à ce que l'équipe Kremer en attendait.
