Österreich , Kals am Großglockner, hübsch gelegen - 133/ 436

            Kals am Großglockner ist eine Gemeinde mit 1245 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Jänner 2010) im österreichischen Bezirk Lienz (Osttirol) und bezirksweit die flächenmäßig drittgrößte Gemeinde. Das Gemeindegebiet von Kals umfasst das gesamte Kalser Tal sowie einen kleinen Teil des Iseltals. Der Hauptort Ködnitz selbst liegt rund 30 Kilometer nordnordwestlich der Stadt Lienz. Wirtschaftlich spielen in der Gemeinde die Landwirtschaft und der Tourismus eine wichtige Rolle, wobei Kals von der Lage am Großglockner (3.798 m), dem höchsten Berg Österreichs, profitiert.
