Good luck to the people of Whaley Bridge

After the recent torrential rain, the dam of the Toddbrook Reservoir (glimpsed on the right of this shot) looks like it may burst and thousands of Whaley Bridge residents are being evacuated. We spent a happy summer in Whaley Bridge last year, while waiting for our new house to be built and had some lovely walks along this path alongside the reservoir. I wish everyone well and hope that the dam can be fixed without harm to people and their homes.
