Spider Bite/Strep Infection - a photo on Flickriver

            All emanating from a possible spider bite I likely received at at a timber rattlesnake den in NY two weeks prior.  This horrific bite/infection landed me in the hospital for the better part of a week.  Surgery was required and gallons of iv antibiotics were administered.  If not for the intervention of modern medicine I could have easily died. At the time of this writing, I am now home but  hooked up (24/7)  to a portable VAC that will granulate the surgically open wound (see other photo)  Although a long recovery now awaits me, I will be my active self before the first snow flies...
