La azotea: Edward Weston y Tina Modotti

            Algunas de las fotografías más conocidas de la década de 1920 fueron tomadas en la azotea de Edward Weston, a su llegada a la Ciudad de México en 1922. Durante algún tiempo, compartió este espacio con Tina Modotti, su amante, aprendiz, y posterior colaboradora. La transgresora relación de cuarto de azotea de Weston y Modotti se convirtió en una suerte de escándalo público. No estaban casados, mantenían una relación “abierta”, y pasaban largas horas experimentando en su azotea, ya fuera con sus cámaras, entre sí, o con otras personas.
