Icicle rocks - a photo on Flickriver

Icicle rocks

            An outcrop of bluestone [a high-grade sandstone found locally], covered with ice. The woods in this spot are wet due to a line of springs on the hill, and that's how much water was draining out of the woods and freezing.  In summer, it all dries out.
The sparkles are drops on the windshield.  I stopped in the middle of the road to snap this shot.
