Coffee, Camera & Notebook - a photo on Flickriver

            Just loaded the Aires iii C "Twice".
What'a dick. Loaded it & wound it on three shots only to find I'd never attached the bottom base plate.
Like I said,  "What a dick"
So I opened the camera. "Yes its rolling on" to reset it to zero & attached the bottom plate this time.
Yep I lost 4 shots of my favorite film of  Neopan SS 100.
But the proof of the pudding will be in the shots from the Aires iii C when I develop em.
Also I spied some residue of sticky tape & surmised that this camera had a light leak. At some time someone had sealed the camera from light by using tape instead of fixing it. 
3mm self adhesive foam to the rescue. I made a new light seal a couple of days ago & when opening the camera it looks to be doing its job. 
Sure 3mm of foam is a little hard core as these cameras used black felt (BLACK VELVET) circa 1958.
With any luck I have averted a light leak before finding out the hard way with spoiled images.
I don't need a camera to spoil images. I can do that myself. Have you seen the stuff I've shot ? 
I am looking forward to shooting with this camera as it is solid at 840 grams or very heavy for its size.
 Feels to be made of lead. Maybe the people from the past will tell me to toughen up.
I have attached a nice neck strap to support the weight. The strap lugs are styled too. 
This camera may look like a Leica M2. But having never felt a Leica M2. 
f1.9 up to f16 with B through to 500 all in a SEIKOSHA MXL shutter lens assembly.
We will see.
