► █░▓ EARLY MORNING FLIGHT OVER LAKE NARACH in north-west Belarus. The flight originated in Moscow and after the moment pictured here, it proceeded above Vilnius, to fly shortly over Lithuania and then enter the vast lowlands of Poland. Pilots don't tell you all that, but to a percipient traveler they can't hide such things. Narach is the largest lake in Belarus, almost 25 m deep and 13 km long. Since 1999 it has been included in the Naroch National Park. This is an aria which has undergone much historical, ethnic and military tumult over the last centuries. Less than 15 km north of the two smaller lakes (left to Narach), lies already border with Lithuania. It's interesting that both Poland and Lithuania boast to be the home of the geographical center of Europe just across the border from here. It's only just that Belarus gets that right, too.
But... whichever of those is true, Kosovo is (heart of) Serbia!
