Au Pont St Martin in Petite France - a photo on Flickriver

            The famous restaurant "Au Pont Saint Martin" (left) is situated in Strasbourg in the quarter 'Petite France', the typical Alsatian quarter, on the side of one of the River Ill's Canal's.
The picture was taken from the bridge just as the restaurant called "Au Pont Saint Martin".
Petite France is a quarter of town best know for its narrow streets, picturesque canals, and medieval Alsatian half timbered houses. 
The area is charming and a must see for any visitor to Strasbourg.
Strasbourg is the home to the European parliament and the famous cathedral.
Strasbourg's historic city centre, the Grande Île ("Grand Island"), was classified a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1988, the first time such an honor was placed on an entire city centre.

Het bekende restaurant "Au Pont Saint Martin" (links) is gelegen in Straatsburg in de wijk 'Petite France, de typische Elzasser wijk, aan een van de oevers van de rivier de Ill.
De foto is genomen vanaf de brug net als het restaurant "Au Pont Saint Martin" geheten.
Petite France is een wijk bekend om haar smalle straatjes, pittoreske grachten en middeleeuwse Elzassische vakwerkhuizen. 
Het gebied is charmant en een must voor elke bezoeker van Straatsburg. 
Straatsburg is samen met Brussel (de officieuze hoofdstad van Europa) de zetel van het Europees Parlement. Ook is het bekend om de beroemde kathedraal.
Om de mooie historische stadskern van Straatsburg te beschermen is deze in 1988 op de Werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO geplaatst.
