Arriving Portland

            The Deleware Lackwanna's PT-98 is arriving it's namesake town of Portland, PA with the day's interchange traffic for the NS. 

Traditionally the DL always left their interchange just north of here at Slateford. However, in October of this 2015 when I made my visit (and perhaps still) they seemed to be commonly making a meet with the NS local and interchanging trains in Portland proper instead. That afforded me the opportunity to witness this scene, as the 5 pack of ALCo products, led by DL 414, the Lehigh Valley heritage unit, pass under one arch of the Lackawanna Cut-Off bridge over the Deleware River.
