            66 103 sits in Tebay Goods Loop having arrived 58mins early at 04.10 with 6M73 the 20.46 overnight empty lime containers from Margam Knuckle Yard to Hardendale Quarry. The fact Freightliner's 6C54 Tunstead to Hardendale had also run overnight on this date means this train is unable to access Hardendale Quarry until Freightliner's 6C54 has cleared the Quarry Arrival/Reception line. Something of a running sore at our depot as the situation has prevailed for over 5 years now since 6C54 was introduced. It routinely sees 6M73 sit here for several hours especially if its run early through the night. The delay waiting for 6C54 to vacate the Arrival line at the quarry  then translates into anything up to an hour late arriving at the quarry for 6M73 (38mins late on this date). Sadly the solution hasn't been to retime 6C54 earlier to avoid the clash its simply been to make the DB drivers diagram longer by showing the light engine returning to Kingmoor Yard an hour later than previously. At a duration of 10hrs 56mins with an 08.53 book off time this turn is understandably the least popular night shift at our depot by a long margin.
