Golden Mushrooms - packaging designed for fresh mushrooms by Milner Gray of the Industrial Design Partnership - c1937

            Milner Gray was one of the most influential graphic designer in the UK during the 20th century. At the time of this package design he was working with the "Industrial Design Partnership"of 1935-40, a group that had grown from the Bassett-Gray Partnership - an early British example of an inter-disciplinary design group. Milner Gray would go on to work with designers such as Misha Black in the Design Research Unit (DRU).

I don't know if this packaging was actually used or if it was just a mock-up. Wethersfield is most likely to be the one in Essex, England rather than the town in Connecticut, USA.
