British Overseas Airways Corporation Speedbird Routes advert - 1947

            Air travel was just starting to get back into its stride, after the War, in 1947 - this advert is pushing the need to travel for business, as part of the export drive, on BOAC Speedbird flights. The British Overseas Airways Corporation would in time merge with British European Airways to form British Airways - the Speedbird logo is still recognised. The advert also mentions other partner airways; Qantas Empire Airways, South African Airways and Tasman Empire Airways.

This advert was issued in various formats and can be seen below in the BOAC publicity manual. This version was in the Contact Magazine.
