            "Don't worry - walk" says the opening to this booklet describing pleasure trips and rambles in the Sheffield District. Many transport operators, especially railways, issued such booklets in the inter-war period when increasingly Saturdays were 'days off' added to the allure of the popularity of rambling.

Sheffield's transport department was an enthusiastic publisher of such guides, aided by the fact that their operations were part of a Joint Committee with two of the main line railways, the London Midland & Scottish and the London & North Eastern; this gave them the advantage of a much wider operating area beyond the city boundary and that included the scenic delights of adjacent countryside, especially the Peak District.

The booklet, the 4th edition, is undated but feels around c.1935. It was produced on behalf of the Committee by the enthusiastic publisher of such 'official' guides, E. J. Burrow of Cheltenham.
