'Motoring in Britain" - travel brochure, c1950 - illustrated by Rowland Hilder

            I do enjoy Rowland Hilder's rather meticulous drawings of the British landscape - for many people this prolific artist is best remembered for his many works that ended up as greetings cards! This sweeping view of the open road, evocative image of the rural England that is still used to entice visitors, was the cover of a c1950 British Tourist brochure.
