Long Beach Surf

            Even on a benign weather day such as this (warm with light winds) these waves were pretty impressive. Not surprisingly, this area is a mecca for surfers from near and far. It's also a popular venue in the autumn and winter for storm watching, when Pacific storms pound the coastline with waves as tall as small buildings.
