Кино "Изток" е част от архитектурния ансамбъл около хотел "Плиска" от средата на 60-те. На площада пред него е сниман игралния филм "Един снимачен ден" (1969 г.) . Освен киното сградата помещава чителище "Николай Хайтов". След приватизацията на киномрежата от края на 90-те салонът спира работа и фасадата му постепенно се превръща в рекламно пано. През 2011 г. е превърната в супермаркет "Била". Реклама "Фиат Пунто" и "Евроком".

"Iztok" (East) cinema was named after the residential estate "Iztok" in which it is situated. It is a part of the mid-60s architetural ensamble around hotel "Pliska". The space in front of the cinema was the site of the film "One shooting day" (1969). The building also accommodates the cultural center (chitalishte) "Nikolay Haytov". After the privatisation of the cinemas in the late 90s it was closed down and its facade became a place for ads. In 2011 it was reconstructed into a "Billa" supermarket. Advertisements Fiat Punto and Evrokom.
