Sweet Treats

The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" on the 26th of January is "white chocolate".  Now this theme posed a challenge for me for a couple of reasons: one, I don’t really have much of a sweet tooth and prefer dark bitter chocolate to white chocolate which I think is just pure sugary sweet confectionery, and two, my partner does have a very sweet tooth and chocolates don’t last long in our house as a result.  Luckily for me, as a Christmas gift a very dear friend of mine sent me a hamper full of good quality dark, milk and a sprinkling white chocolates.  My partner has already consumed some of the hamper, including most of the white chocolate which he loves, but fortunately there were five berry chocs coated in white chocolate left.  I quickly took them to photograph on a lovely Paragon “Chrysanthemums” 1930s hand painted and gilded saucer.  I hope you like my choice of this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!
