Year Of The Cat

Okay, so 2025 is actually 'The Year Of The Snake' but here, in my home of Western Sydney, the cats reign supreme.

This is my favourite cat, the Rivercat catamaran (part of the Sydney Ferries fleet) - and this is the 'Dawn Fraser' Rivercat, named after one of Australia's most famous Olympic swimmers.

And here the cat is about to glide under the John Whitton Bridge at Meadowbank, where it then collects city-bound passengers at the Meadowbank Wharf.

You are then in the city, or at Darling Harbour (Barangaroo Wharf) in just 20 minutes. And before you catch the Rivercat grab a coffee and/or breakfast at the chic 'Fork and Spoon' cafe.
