Blue Banded Bees Roosting - a photo on Flickriver

            Blue Banded Bees Roosting (Amegilla )
These male Blue banded bees are settling in for the night.
Roosting on a weedy grass stem they grip on with their mandibles and not their legs.
They shake their legs and wiggle their abdomens to keep their position when a new bee arrives to settle.
The two here wouldn't give up their position, so this is how they stayed.
