The Ace was designed by John Tojeiro in the style of a Ferrari Barchetta, with Tojeiro's all independantly sprung chassis.
This is the original Ken Rudd racer, powered by a works version of the AC 2 litre engine, believed to be an ex Donald Campbell engine. Ken Rudd ran Ruddspeed a hugely accomplished Ace exponent and the proprietor of competition preparation specialist .
When Bristol announced that they were going to cease supplying customer engines it was he who later persuaded AC to adopt Ford's Zephyr MKII powerplant as a replacement unit.
This car is part of the AC Heritage Collection.
