The DRK was first unveiled at the Cheshire Kit Car Show in 1986. The name derives from its designers initials (Dereck Callister, Robert Callister and Keith Hamer) of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, available with various engines, it features an aluminium body mounted on a wooden frame and steel chassis. Manufacture was a part time venture until 1990 when it went into full production according to order. They left the workshop with a fully built and painted chassis and all the components required for completion, leaving the customer to source a suitable engine and gearbox and assemble.
Production ceased in 1998 after 59 cars had been sold, this is chassis #18 fitted with a Renault 1108cc engine the total weight is 381 kg and capable of 90 mph fuel economy of 55-60 mpg
