Leyland Cruiser, EBF 185 - a photo on Flickriver

            Also caught on the Naxxar Gap that same year, was another Maltese hybrid of a Leyland Cruiser 16.23 front end, mated to an unknown double-drive back-end. This particular lorry had been noted by me on three separate trips to Malta from 2008-2011. It was then painted maroon and carried the moniker 'German' on the headboard, a wholly inappropriate legend seeing what the island had suffered under the hands of the Luftwaffe during WW2 when it was the most bombed place on the planet. Perhaps the then owner had a wayward sense of humour? Anyway by the time of this photo it had obviously changed hands and received a smart new metallic blue paint job.
