Pacing BNSF... on the KP - a photo on Flickriver

            On Sunday, I was lucky enough to run into the Holy Trifecta of Cool Stuff, Sunlight, and Free Time! 

I really only intended to shoot this train in Topeka in the north-south stretch between MP 65 & 67, but after I drove out to Menoken to confirm the train's routing west, I just kind of kept on driving west, as anything neat running out on the KP is worthwhile. 

Anyway, here's BNSF's rebuilt SD70MACe no. 9730 leading the OSJWU, an oil train off of the KCS (CPKC) in St. James, LA.

In this view, I'm pacing the BNSF duo on US24 between Rossville and St. Mary's. This certainly isn't something you see every day out here.
