Sandhill Crane Migration, Platte River Sunrise

We went to Kearney, Nebraska in late March for Audubon’s Sandhill Crane migration festival. Over 600,000 Sandhill Cranes pass through the Kearney area in a six week period, spending nights on the Platte River and days picking up spilled corn in the harvested corn fields, fueling up for completing their journey as far away as Siberia.
