As Night Falls, the Dunes are Mesmerizing

            A scene of the sand dunes of Wahiba Sands as the sun sets. You can see the 4 wheel drive vehicles enjoying the challenge of  racing in the sand. You can also see that much of the area remains peaceful so one can have moments of reflection.

You may have noticed that I have not shown any pictures of the lovely women of Oman yet. They strongly prefer that you do not take pictures of them. However, this lovely young lady is the wife of my driver and she is from Tunisia. She gave me permission to use this picture.

My itinerary called for a free day at the sand dunes and that meant that my driver was also free. His wife came to join him for the day.  He graciously introduced the two of us which was a thrill for me as I have travelled to Tunisia, but not since the revolution. We discussed the state of affairs of her home country and some of the many places that I remembered from my travel there. The day was great fun. Tomorrow, I'll show you where we went.
