Different Sails a Gathering - a photo on Flickriver

The 84 ft Martha built in 1907 as a gaff-rigged schooner, currently is rigged as a very fast staysail schooner. She is overtaking a smaller schooner I don't know that is rigged like Martha except she uses a gaff-rigged foresail instead of staysails. The much smaller black catboat uses a single Gaff-rigged sail. The 160 ft Zodiac schooner, built in 1924, is fully gaff-rigged as she was originally built. The #8 on her mainsail is from her days in San Franciso as a pilot boat. Taken at Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival schooner race
