Schooner Passing Sydney, BC - a photo on Flickriver

            We stayed at a lovely place on the water just south of Sidney, on Vancouver Island, BC. Sidney has many attactive flower gardens and excellent bookstores. The view is from southeast Vancouver Island looking out towards the Canadian Gulf Islands and the U.S. San Juan Islands. This image has the Canadian built Nevermore schooner passing by. The raven image on the skysail refers to the Edgar Allen Poe poem.  The fully varnished wooden hull is impressive to me. The image is a combination of three of my photos,
