BCD Members Looking at Simon Stocken Puzzleplex Jigsaws DSC06861

We hosted the third BCD Meeting of 2016 and were delighted to welcome Simon and Peter Stocken who dropped by to show us some future mult-layer projects and three of Simon's master works. In the foreground the 5-layer 2,512pc 'Sir Walter Raleigh - I'm Home Ma'am' with the framed certificate made for the puzzle when it was exhibited in America; 500pc Life and Death and the Sliding Block puzzle holder for 8 tray-jigsaws of flowers.

'Raleigh I'm Home Ma'am' has to be assembled in a specific order and includes riddles within its 5-layers. You can see a time-lapse video of it being assembled and disassembled on You-tube. Links to this and to the riddling words are in a comment on this photo:

The theme I chose for the 'Show and Tell' was 'Beautiful Places and Fascinating Cuts'.

The tables across the back of the hall hold the show and tell displays, mine being in the corner you can see (behind the Chairman David Shearer wearing a BCD T-shirt) and we had several members and sales tables at the other end of the hall.
