The Trolley Stop Restaurant In Oella Maryland, Across The Patapsco River Bridge From Ellicott City Maryland, The Stone Building Was Erected In 1833

            The restaurant was named the Trolley Stop because a trolley car stopped outside the second floor dining room from 1889 to 1955.

The building at 6 Oella Avenue at the edge of historic Ellicott City has been a boarding house, seed company and a biker bar with Saturday night brawls so common that the locals nicknamed the place the "Bloody Bucket." In the 1980s, when the restaurant was patronized by brawling bikers, it was known as Valley View Inn. Today, the Trolley Stop is filled with families and senior citizens.
